for health promotion and disease prevention services for
children and adolescents.
- Bright Futures, American Academy of Pediatrics:
Provides information and links for healthcare professionals,
families and communities, and public health professionals
about health promotion, disease prevention and health child
development. Site also has links to additional tools and
resources.
- Guide to Clinical Preventive Services: Provides recommendations for clinicians on preventive services and interventions and examines the cost-effectiveness of over 80 clinical preventive services. Services specifically about children and adolescents can be found in 2 sections, Childhood Immunizations and Counseling to Prevent Youth Violence. Additional recommendations that include or are related to children will be noted in appropriate topical areas.
- Guidelines to Adolescent Preventive Services (GAPS), American Medical Association: GAPS is a comprehensive set of recommendations for the delivery of preventive health services to adolescents, ages 11-21. Has 24 recommendations addressing 14 topical areas of health care, links to questionnaires and additional tools and resources.
