Advocacy for Children and Families
- Family Voices: Family Voices is a national grassroots
network of families and friends. It advocates for
health care services that are family-centered,
community-based, comprehensive, coordinated and
culturally competent for all children and youth
with special health care needs.
- Children's Defense Fund: The Children's Defense
Fund (CDF) is a private non-profit organization
dedicated to Leave No Child Behind® and
to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start,
a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in
life and successful passage to adulthood with the
help of caring families and communities. CDF provides
a strong, effective voice for all the children
of America who cannot vote, lobby, or speak for
themselves, paying particular attention to the
needs of poor and minority children and those with
disabilities.
- Families, USA: Families USA is a national nonprofit,
non-partisan organization dedicated to the achievement
of high-quality, affordable health care for
all Americans. Working at the national, state,
and community levels, Families USA has earned a
national reputation as an effective voice for health
care consumers and provides information, technical
assistance and training.
