Managing Injuries:
Many injuries can result in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD is a pyschiatric disorder that results from experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event, such as war, a natural disaster, a serious injury, or violence personal assualts. People with PTSD exhibits both biological and psychological changes, and often PTSD occurs in conjunction with other psychological and behavioral disorders such as depressions, substance abuse, and problems with memory or cognition. PTSD is also associated with an inability to function in family and social life. (National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).
